I have at least 85 of these caps along my house on all sides. These are by far the best product I have ever used with regards to cap lighting. You will be pleasantly surprised about the quality of this product. I had a few get dropped and cracked so I replaced them. Had many of these caps for 8 years and are still working like a charm.

To help extend the life of your solar post caps, here are a few care tips:
• Clean the solar panels regularly – Gently wipe away dust, pollen, or debris with a soft cloth so the panels can absorb maximum sunlight.
• Ensure proper sunlight exposure – Install caps where they receive direct sunlight for most of the day, as shaded areas reduce charging efficiency.
• Replace the batteries every 1–3 years – Solar lights rely on rechargeable batteries, which typically last between 1–3 years. Replacing them on schedule helps maintain brightness and run time.
• Seasonal maintenance – In harsh winters, consider storing the caps indoors. We also recommend storing the battery separately from the light so that the battery terminal does not retain any moisture.

They are beautiful and pretty close match to my wall mounted porch lights.
But a little disappointed in the short duration of being on. I left them open in the house under fairly bright lights for about 3 days. They were in off position. Hoping to get a full charge. First night stayed on almost all night, but since, only a couple hours. I live in the Pacific Northwest so this time of year, a lot of cloudy rainy days.

Regarding the shorter runtime, the issue is likely due to how they were charged. Indoor lighting, even bright lights, doesn’t provide enough intensity for solar batteries to fully charge. For best performance, the lights need to be charged outdoors in direct sunlight. Even on cloudy or rainy Pacific Northwest days, outdoor daylight will still provide a much better charge than indoor lighting.
We recommend placing them outside in a spot that gets as much daylight as possible for a full day or two. Once they receive a proper outdoor charge, you should see a noticeable improvement in how long they stay illuminated.

Bought two for our 5"x5" vinyl gate posts and they look awesome! They are a perfect fit and were very easy to install. Its November and the lights don't stay lit all night but that's likely due to shorter daylight hours now and cloudiness. We expect that next summer they will stay lit for many more hours with the longer days. Very happy with them and would recommend them.

Regarding the brightness of the light, the amount of direct sunlight a solar light receives each day can vary significantly based on several factors such as geographic location, time of year, weather conditions, and the specific positioning of the solar panel. As a result, the number of hours the light stays illuminated will depend on these conditions.
Our lights will continue to operate throughout the winter months; however, due to reduced sunlight and cooler temperatures, you may notice a decrease in the duration of illumination. If you choose to store your lights indoors during the winter, we recommend removing the battery and storing it separately to prevent moisture buildup on the battery terminal.

Northern Climates
• Summer: 8–12 hours
• Winter: 4–6 hours
Southern Climates
• Summer: 8–12 hours

I ordered the Kingsbridge Dual lighted solar cap after returning a much lesser quality solar post cap. These are amazing!!! The down lighting on the post is lovely - and the lights stay lit for at least 6 hours. They appear to be sturdy and will be able to handle the Colorado winter. We will see!! Very happy with the quality and price.

These caps add a touch of class to our deck. Good amount of light but only last about 5 hours although the daylight hours are short this time of year. I initially ordered 9 caps and will be ordering 4 more.

Was very excited when it arrived and looks great and is bright but it doesn’t last throughout the night. Comes on around 6:00pm and only lasts until 2:00am. Was hoping to get 12 hours out of it? Maybe asking to much for a solar light.

I wish the hangers were a little stronger but love them
These caps look great! The light is bright and can switch from cool white to warm white. The adapter enabled installation on my 4 3/8 inch posts. I have it 4 out of 5 because using the adapter the cap was a little less elevated.
