My order for 15 caps came in with 14 and one of them was staying on during the day. Customer Service immediately sent me 2 more and they were great. My lights make such a statement across my backyard fence. I recommend these products.

The product works as described. It was easy to convert the base to 4.5 inch. They recharge pretty well even in the north country where sunlight at this time of the year isn't plentiful.

Installed the new caps (the last ones were made of wood and eventually succumbed to age) and they turned out great. Delivery was quick and the product was exactly what I was hoping for. As long as the paint holds up....they should outlive me.

Bought 8 of these about 6 years ago. Looked great, but they only last about 3 years in the midatlantic. Replacement light/solar caps are available at $24 each, so every 3 years, plan on spending another $200 to replace the cap piece. Customer service is very good.
The adapter is a piece of plastic that falls right off. They is jo way to attach it well enough to seal it either.
I have two sizes of cap, 4" for the larger balcony posts and 3" for the deck. Installation with adapters worked well, I had to cut out the old plastic cap on the deck posts with a dremel tool to make a base for the 4" lighted cap. Overall look is great. Will see how long the rechargeable batteries last here in Edmonton
These lights give off the perfect amount of light for my 20"x20" fence pillars. Very impressed.
